TWYFORD GOOD NEIGHBOURS

To All Twyford Residents

If you are unwell or self-isolating over the coming months as a result of the coronavirus and have a genuine need for help, we may be able to provide some support and assistance.

We are a group of volunteers from Twyford who have previously supported the community and are willing to try to help with whatever problems you may face over the coming weeks and months, either by providing assistance ourselves or by helping you to find suitable alternatives.

Things we can do:

  • Shopping, if you are unable to get out *
  • Pick up prescriptions
  • Organise contact with other people who may be in the same position, and would enjoy a chat (at a safe distance!)
  • Care for dogs
  • Care for horses
  • A cooked meal
  • Search for information to help you to deal with specific queries or problems
  • Anything else considered – but we can’t guarantee satisfaction!

* Remember that The Deli at No.10 (The Saddle) has grocery supplies. With a couple of days’ notice you can order bread, milk, eggs, ham etc. Call Amanda and team on 01664 841108.

Our Facilities

Our main hall is about 14m long by 8m wide, it has a side annexe with additional seating. Views of the main hall:

 

We have a small meeting room, which can be hired for a lower fee for smaller meetings. It also serves as a bar for larger events.

 

We have a well-equipped kitchen with a range cooker, dishwasher, fridge and microwave. Also available are kitchen utensils, crockery, cutlery and glasses.

 

We have plenty of tables (20 large, 20 small) and 130 chairs available for your event.

Our cloakrooms include facilities for the disabled and a baby-changing unit.

Whole Day 08:00 – 24:00 £145.00
08:00 – 18:00 £102.00
18:00 – 24:00 £85.00
After Midnight per hour £18.00
CHILDREN’S PARTY 3 hours £36.00
CHILDREN’S DISCO 3 hours £36.00
CLASSES / MEETINGS (main hall) £11.00 per hour, minimum 2 hours
FUNCTION/WEDDING PREPARATIONS £11.00 per hour, minimum 2 hours
COMMITTEE ROOM £7.00 per hour, minimum 2 hours
Twyford residents – 20% reduction in the above rates

 

  • Above rates include full use of kitchen, furniture and available equipment.
  • All breakages, shortages and damage to hall artefacts to be paid for as per hire agreement supplied by VH hiring clerk.
  • As per contractual agreement, all facilities, hall areas and equipment to be left as found otherwise the £50.00 retention fee will be forfeited.
  • A £50 deposit must be paid in advance of the date of hire.
  • Please contact the Committee Chairperson if in doubt.
